I've been talking to local Acura dealer rep for past 6 months about new TL . He calls me regularly to update me on internet info. I guess the dealer just got them in today. He called me to tell me that they just came in - I asked if I could have one - ten minutes later I was there. Only Sales Manager went for ride and drive - Sales rep didn't know about MSRP yet or how the car drives.

I'll look through brochure and scan any more pages through 2004 TL man. Sorry quality not that great.

You all seem to know everything about brochure from what I've read on this website.

Acura's website also has most/all of info on brochure.

I've been scanning. Got a little better resolution on the colors. 2004 TL man will be sending over soon. Very slow when you try to do 4 GB files. Also too big. So I had to cut down on resolution.

Check out the detailed 04 TL my dot did. (give her a break, she's only 12.)

Thanks again, 04TL, great job.

But -- I oughta mention that from what I could tell from seeing 4 of the actual exterior colors, the scans of the Abyss (dark blue) and the Desert Mist (gold) really don't look very much like the cars. The real-life Abyss especially looks quite different, and MUCH nicer.

Ya color on paper never is accurate, I wondered if it is accurate at all.. I guess in the brochures with high color printing it looks a little closer..

Limited information, Emu.

I scanned and emailed another page from brochure to 2004 TL man. I think all info. on this page is pretty much known.

Mr. Moderator,

Re: Post reply options -

I don't understand purpose of allowing attachments that are only 1 byte maximum size - can this be changed to allow attachment of pics and scans. That's why I can't send directly to Acura-TSX.COM site I guess.

Thanks,

is

Crap, thanks.

Why is the trip computer such a secret? Must mean it is lame if it is not worth mentioning.

Why are the brocure pictures Acura-tl watermarked? Didnt this come from an A-TSX user. The people over there are always complaining and cannot get over the fact that the 04 blows their 2nd gen away.

Are the brochures the dealers are getting the little fold-out like the one that came out as the TSX was introduced or the full multi-page one?

The one I got today was 36 (roughly) legal-sized pages with a high quality matte finish.

WOW Look at this picture, Does Acura like to advertise and sell Silver color too MUCH?

And look at the TSX and TL, at first I thought they were both TSX! (TL Is on top, TSX AT BOTTOM)

FYI, outside links to the large images at ImageStation.com don't work.

EDIT: Yes, copying the links to remove the referrer does work.

Thanks, TL and AD -- but, even with my magnifier (!), I couldn't read most of it!

I wonder if you could tell me the specs for weight (or "curb weight," whatever that means). (I understand it's maybe 50# less for the MT.)

BTW anybody know why they say "curb weight"??

In person, you don't have much trouble telling them apart -- but their SIZES look awfully similar.

I just noticed on image #32 (under Safety Features), it lists "Door mirrors with integrated directional signals" as a standard feature. I don't remember seeing that mentioned anywhere beforea and I don't recall seeing it on any of the pictures posted so far. Am I wrong?

I looked and had to rub my eyes, but yes, it's actually there. Woohoo! I'd been thinking about adding aftermarket signals on my '02 TL, it's a cool feature.

I wonder if it's the type that's actually behind the mirror surface, as opposed to being integrated in the mirror housing. That might explain why nobody has seen it. Anybody at the R&D care to weigh in on this?

Has anybody seen anything mentioned about "approach lighting" (lighting below the mirror that lights the area around the door when you unlock the doors with the keyfob)?
