i have had a few all wheel drive cars and the awd puts a damper on sport driving on dry pavement. don't get me wrong in the snow awd is great but on a dry day or in the rain front wheel drive is more practical and more fun.

Yeh baby...just have to wonder what excuses the German car makers will make when this car starts winning all the awards.

Is it just me? Or do the wheel wells on that Euro/Jap Legend look alil' big?

-(Also think it simply looks like an upscale accord ((profile)))

-Still hot though.

hell yeah. 300hp, AWD. i'm considering trading up my type S for one this fall. but i will probably wait until the first ones come off lease in 2007 to get one for cheap. imagine what a comptech supercharger would do to this car

I thought I was the only one that saw that. As I mentioned, the grill for the U.S. version has nothing in common with the rest of Acura's lineup. They should put the Grill on the Legend on our version and just change the badge.

Yeah, that grill looks like the one on the Tl/TSX and old CL.
The RL one is unfamiliar but I guess following in last gens RL.

In Canada, they just announced he MSRP of the new 05 RL will be $69,500, up from $55,800 for the 2004 3.5RL model That's a whopping ~24 % increase, an extraordinarily high price increase for a new model even though it offers vast improvements over the old.

I just got that info.

Regardless of the price, I think the RL will have the best value in it's class especially if you consider what comes with it.

Yeah. Seeing as how it's completely loaded with a V6, it should be in the $45K range to offer a decent value quotient; $43K is even better... but it does have the navi as standard equipment.

That's supposedly where the SH-AWD comes in...it's supposed to handle better than a regular AWD car (and based on their explaination of the physics behind it...it probably does!)

Basically SH AWD controls left and right wheels, not just front and rear. Also the system can detect the power going to the outermost/innermost wheel and add/lessen according to conditions.
I think that is correct in simple terms.

Sounds the same as Mitsubishi's active yaw and differential control.

Looks like 17s. The production 2005 RL demo is available at acura.com. I would have guessed 18s at least.

Personally I think the front looks similar to the E330, the rear sorta accordish. I like the looks of the new M45 a lot better.

Latest issue of Car and Driver (10/04) did a brief test of the RL at Summit Point in W. Virginia.

They estimate the 0-60 at 6.3 and the 1/4 in 15.0 however these are only estimates. According to the article there are no options and it should be priced significantly under 50 large.

Those are some good numbers for the RL considering that it is NOT meant to be for speed but for control, luxury and balance

The rear seems to be a disappointment to many. I think it looks good, if maybe a little bit too tapered. The comparisons to the rear of the CL are appropriate. I'm just glad they didn't hike the rearend up too far like they did with the latest accord. It affects visibility too much. I'm still excited about it. I can't wait to test drive it. Heck, I can't wait to buy it!!

The 2006 M45 concept is a looker as well. I like what I've seen of that car so far.

Have you seen the latest pics on infiniti's news site?

http://nissannews.com/multimedia/con...finiti_m.shtml

This shot reminds be a bit of the 6 series coupe only with 4 doors.

I really can't wait to test drive the V8 model.

A stretched wheelbase version of that car would look real nice, just a thought for acura.
