TSX front door, largest speaker?

I've been searching forever, but can't seem to find this answer. What is the largest speaker that will fit in the front door of a TSX, with a spacer? Specifically, will a speaker with a mounting depth of 2.65 inches and a mounting hole diam. of 5.56 inches fit? Or more specifically, will the JL Audio ZR650-CSi fit?

I haven't heard of a 6.5" speaker NOT fitting yet. (assuming the use of a common spacer)

The honda accord universal plastic spacers fit all the TSX doors and are cheap and easy to use.

Good to know. Thanks guys. I know I could always use a spacer if the depth was too deep so I didn't hit the inside of the door skin. But I didn't want to run into problems with having to use a spacer that was too think and then run into problems with hitting the grill in the door.

pretty much any speaker will fit, just keep the magnet down to 3" maybe 4" and obviously the slimmer the better.

As long as you're not afraid to drill into your door, you can put pretty much anything in there using a custom spacer.

more importantly, you don't want the window to hit the magnet when you roll it down :o

Be careful with speakers that have mounting diameters over 5.5". I installed some MB Quart RVF216 and they are labeled 6.5" speakers but their mounting diameters are closer to that of 6.75" speakers. Even with the Accord speaker adapters I had trouble with the fancy brackets around the magnet clearing the adapter so I had to custom fit a spacer onto the adapter which I dont recommend doing.

FIY - most normal 6.5" speakers will have ~5" mounting diameters which should fit just fine. PM if you need me to clarify my explanation.

I mounted 6.75" Kappas no problem. Most 6.5" speakers have >6" mounting diameters, I have no idea where you're pulling that from.

There are tons of great 5.5" speakers too, which will have... 5" - 6" mounting diameters.
