sub woofer install into a TL?

Anyone knows how to install a sub-woofer (tube with built-in amplifier) onto a TL with stock radio/speakers etc? Is it a lot of hassle?

So that's the Kenwood Bazooka Tube clone? Installing it would be really easy actually...since it's one contained setup...but if you're planning on selling it I'd suggest to post in the For Sale forum if you haven't already.

Where are you located now? I live in s.a., I could help you too if needed. I have setup a few 2000watt stereo system installs, and will slowly do a big one in this car.

Thanks for the offer Speedy. I'm in Houston now. I got a job here that's why. To install, I guess I would need to run wires under the carpet from the front to the trunk...which means all the seats must come out..looks like a pain in the a**.

No man, much easier than that. Your kick panel on one side, your side sills (the part that goes along the carpet and the door are plastic, they pop out, and just push the wire under the plastic walls in teh back then lift the bottom part of the seat out, and push the wires into the trunk. It really isn't that hard. If you were doing a big stereo, then yes seats come out.

Even if you need to take the seat out...it's a 5 min procedure...the rear backing and the bottom cushions are all mounted on 2 frames...so you just have to remove 2 frames and you're done.

So how easy is it to install a sub with the factory stereo? Does the factory have a low level out? Is there an amp in the trunk or something? I need to know, i'm probably getting a 1999 or 2000 TL in the next week or so. I want to take my tube and hook it up to my new-used ride!
