Does anyone know if it is possible to change the stock radio and still be able to use the controls on the steering wheel? If so which aftermarket stereo unit works with the remote?

there are a few different companies that make remote adapters and sending units. Some tie into the wirring and only work with specific decks with remote inputs. Others tie into the wirring and emit a infrared signal to the front of the new deck, and you program what you want each button to do. Check and see what crutchfield has... also do a search because I know this has been discussed before with some good results.

 

wont you get a remote with the new head unit?????? i know that pioneers have remote that attach to the wheel. Sorry Im not a big fan of stock anything, especially music stuff...
