stock amp for the 1st gens

i got my 2 10's awhile back.. but the guy who installed it connedted the sub amp singal to the ignition.. so the subs "pops" everytime i start my car! VERY annoying.... can i wire that amp singal to the stock amp somehow so it doesn't pop? where's the stock amp in the 97 3.0? hard to get to?

where's the best place to install cross overs for compoments for the front with minimal installation work?

THANKS in advance!!

Why not just put a switch inline so you can turn the sub on and off at will?

try wirring the AFTERMARKET amp BEFORE the STOCK amp... also, make sure the remote turn on wire is going to the remote wire from the deck and not the constant power wire at the stock amp. If you wire up a switch, you can find power behind the deck... just go with the remote wire out of the deck, to the switch, then to the aftermarket amp... then theres no way your amp will be on without the deck on.
