Removing Head Unit without all the lower dash?

I searched and searched for the thread that talked about doing minimal removal to get to the back of the head unit. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

I ordered my Blitzsafe adapter for my XM Delphi today from streeteffectz for $95 shipped. So, being the cheap azz I am, I want to save money and put it in myself. I honestly could follow the directions to remove everything, but I really am trying to cheat and get around that if I can.

Can someone shoot my the URL for that thread showing that shortcut if you know about it?

there is no way....if you have tiny hands you can just remove the side pieces and try to get the connector in there, but just do it the right way before you break something or kill your hands (the metal back there is really sharp).

Thanks for the link. The pictures and instructions seem pretty straight forward. It looks alot like the way to replace my 97 Accord's stereo. I did that awhile back.

These instructions are pretty clear. I'll skip the shortcut and do it the right way. I just hope I don't get any rattles when I put it all back together. Oh wait, this isn't a GM vehicle :p
