REMOVING auxilliary connector from 2000 TL radio

First time poster here. Sorry if this has been covered already, but all my searches just talk about installing ipods adapters

Does anyone know how to remove an auxilliary connector from the back of the radio? Specifically, how does it click in place? I can't see any tabs or anything that would hold it in.

The story is, I installed a blitzsafe ipod adapter into my car 3 years ago. The part of the wire/connector shorted, it doesn't work properly now, and I want to take the connector out to fix it or replace with a new one.

When I installed the adapter, I never took out the radio; just enough of the panels to get to it and insert the connector.

Here is the picture of the connector:

Can anyone ID where it's locking? Or is it just a matter of using brute force? I'd rather do it without removing the radio, but the connector seems locked in there...

Thanks.
