place to put DVD player

i was thinking about putting a DVD player (indash style) in the accessory compartment under the navi. this space will need to be modified. it needs to be cut but i don't know that if after i cut it, would it still be deep enough. i'm looking for a spot 7 1/2 wide, 2 1/2 high and about 10-11 inch deep.

other spots i could but the DVD player would be under the front seat or under the back deck. but i wanted something convienent.

I'm with you...

I would like to persue the same type of install... I am looking for anyone who has accomplished installing a DIN unit while retaining the door. I think the dash loses its "lines" without the door in place. There must be a way to do it.

I thought about it but I desided not too. But for power just hook it directly to the fuse box by the drivers door.

I have a DVD player installed in my TSX and I recomend getting the install kit for the factory Tape/MP3 player. You lose the pocket, but it matches the interior perfect.

I also tried the center glove box method, but most car dvd players do not like being mounted vertically. They will play for a while, but you will notice over time that loading takes longer and it becomes more sensitive to road bumps.

i puchased a Pyle DVD player. it was cheap ($90) but it is only 6.25 inches wide x 2 inches high and 6.5 inches deep (without wires). you can almost fit under the nav without removing the door. it will take some modification.

i just need a way to hook up the dvd out to the stock nav without buyint the $500 tuner. i saw e_lectro's post on the converter for $125, but i don't know where to splice it.
