Question Non-Navi Headunit replacement question

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the community, but wanted to ask a question for everyone to comment on.

I purchased my first "realistic dream car" last August when I bouth an Anthracite Metallic 2003 CL-S w/ a 6-sp MT. I did not get the car with Navigation, so this question revolves around the stereo w/o navigation.

I want to replace my sub-par Bose stereo with a new system, but no one seems to know what can and can't fit into the head unit space. I was looking at some sort of touch screen head unit like the Eclpise AVN6600 or something there abouts. Can anyone give me a some advice as to what I should be looking at and what does and does not fit in that space?

Your help is appreciated.

Smile I likes!

That's pretty much exaclty what I'm looking for. The double din with the kit. But where is a good place to get this stuff? Specialty shops, consumer electronic shops, etc? Most of these places don't have the smartest of people with the proper knowledge to put this together. Plus I really want it to blend into the dash and not look like I'm doing something .

There's an A/V vendor on here named StreetEffectz who can hook you up with a whole kit. Custom dash kit, radio, harness etc...

Thumbs up Sweet

Thanks! I'll check them out and start my planning.

While I'm asking, any suggestions on replacing speakers w/o removing factory grills and covers? I'd also like to add a little bass to the system w/o taking up my whole trunk. Again, don't want to destroy the car to add this stuff.
