Need Help with JL Audio Component size

Alright I've decided to go all JL Audio for my system. Now since my wife has me on a budget here are my current choices:

Alpine head unit (not sure which model yet)
JL Audio TR speakers (components front, coaxs rear)
JL 10w6v2 in seald box
JL E4300 for speakers, E1400 for sub

Now my question is what size speakers should I get? Which would fit better the TR-600s or the TR-650s? Please help as I'll be buying speakers within the next month and would perfer more direct fit than a lot of cutting. Thanks.

MMM....lotta sub for that amp...i'd say choose which one you want more, a w6 or a E1400D. If its the sub, get the e1800; if its the amp, time for a w3.

As far as the speakers, i'd say go for the 6.5's...shouldnt be a problem, if it is, just minor stuff like a spacer. If you are a die hard JL guy, go for it, if you are open to other brands I would say there are better speakers for the money, even though the TR's are priced pretty well. I know you would be happy with the entry lines from A/D/S (these might be pricy, but there are deals out there), CDT Audio, Diamond, Focal...there are others. Just find a good shop because I sure as hell didnt and I am having problems all over the place.

Really, it says 400W RMS rating and the e1400 is rated 400W RMS @2 ohms? Maybe I'll move to the bigger amps. I'm really looking at the JL speakers as I haven't heard anything bad about them. Thanks for the advice, let me know about the sub, I really want it as it's rated one of the best (and I'm willing to spend the extra cash to get the e1800D if needed to get the sub)

that amp should be good for the 10w6v2... i would definately go with a different component or coxial.. the tr series are ok but nothing great.. and for the price of those you can definately get a better speaker.. look into the diamond audio m3 series.. just my 2 cent..

I agree with finding a good shop...I looked around for nearly 1 month, and I am very happy with the results. That amp will be fine for that sub, but some more power wouldnt hurt especially if you are using a sealed box.

I've been researching the Diamond Audio M361 speakers (component and coax) and may get those. I'm going to a shop today to look. Decent price and rave reviews. Gotta have the JL sub though. I don't want super loud bass, just a good kick and real accurate (which the 10w6V2 was rated as having). Thanks for the help. Keep posting ideas for me.

Went with the CDT CL61 components and the CL 6X coaxs. Great price, so hopefully they meet my needs (from the reviews they are exactly what I want).

I have the HD's up front, but have heard the Classics and they are great for the money! I really would recommend going with the tweeter upgrade, they come with 3/4, but you can get the 1" for a few bucks more...did you elect to get titanium of silk? CDT's silks are SSSOOO smooth. Also spend the hundred bucks or whatever it is and get their imaging kit...its insane. The 9k-13.5k range is off the hook! If you got the 2004 model CL's the crossovers are already set up for the kit. Congrats man, you will be thankful everyday for not getting JL TR's with their over compensating crossover and piss poor phasing, even when mounted perfectly (according to JL)...

What sup did you go with...if you got a CDT also, lucky you. So tight and always clean.

How about amps too?

Once again, good decision

I got the silk, not a fan of the titanium tweeters. What does the imaging kit do? They should be the 2004 but I haven't a clue. Ordered the deal from thezeb.com, the ones with the off color basket (don't care about that as they'll be in my doors). Still looking at the JL 10w6v2 sub. Amps are undecided, still looking at the e4300, but from what I read I need more power (maybe the e6450 bridged for fronts, normal for rears). Gotta wait until the end of the month to buy the speaker amp so the wife doesn't kill me. Slowly but surely I'm building my system (emphasis on slowly)
