Why didn't they use the Metra dash kit for a factory look?

I would go back and demand they fix their screwups. The head unit looks pretty good. The Metra kit might look better but, yours is original. The tweeter is not acceptable. The damage to the center console is not acceptable and screwing the sub in upside down is not acceptable. All of these things should be fixed to your satisfaction. Pretty lazy and careless work on their part.

Did they give you a quote prior to the install or did you take it and just have it done? Always get a quote.

Bottom line, they should fix all the mistakes they made without question.

Agreed. That is horrendous. The "custom dash panel" fits like crap, tweets aren't installed properly and damage to the vehicle is inexcusable. They should be ashamed of that kind of work. I would demand some sort of refund...I doubt they have the ability to fix it right. I would also get them to purchase a new console trim piece for the damage that they did.

Call the BBB to report the company.

I'm really sorry! That is tragic. I went with a friend to Circuit city last night to pick up his ride (sub and dual amps purchased). They included *free* installation with his purchase. You get what you pay for, usually. The install looked like some highschool kid did it. They cut all his factory speaker wires behind the plastic and spliced in 16awg wire to the factory wire (telling him they had to bypass the factory amp so they had to charge him extra to run new wires). Then they TAPED it with electrical tape. No connectors, no solder, just some tape. Not neatly applied, either. All the wires were exposed. It was pathetic. They were supposed to be done at 4. We showed up at 5. He said another 30 minutes. I left my poor buddy there. He's a Big, mean, black man, so I think he can handle it. I hope he didn't kill anyone...

You, on the other hand, paid some cash and deserve a better install. I have teken six months on my install (I have a baby, cut me suome slack) and I am glad I did it myself. It will be PERFECT!
