Nav head unit suggestions

I want to put a navigation head unit in my 03 CLS but I dont really know what to get. Here is what I'm looking for I want one that looks like it could be factory and not a flip out. I want to be able to still keep my BOSE system cuz it sounds great and I want to be able to keep the sound the same. I dont know if they make one that has the 6 disc in dash but I dont want to spend a boat load of money. I dont want to spend more than $750. Hopefully less than that though. I dont want a piece of garbage so if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

What you are looking for then is a "double din in dash" stereo. Start searching around and see what interests you in your price range. Then let us know what you have narrowed it down to. Most headunits these days have iPod/MP3 adapters which eliminates the need for 6 disc cd player.

Adding a aftermarket headunit to a 2nd gen CL, you will lose steering wheel controls if you don't add and install a PAC-SWI adapter and you will lose Navi voice if you have navigation.

^x2 I have a Kenwood DNX6140, which I got from 6ave.com for $500 after $100 rebate. Very nice and responsive unlike the Pioneers.

Good look the Kenwood DNX6140 is exactly what I was looking for. Do you have it hooked up to the factory Bose stereo and if so do you lose ant of the sound? Also good looking on the 6th ave website. I always forget about that place. There's one right around the corner from me but I always forget they have a car audio department. They always have the best prices I just saw the same unit on ebay for $300 more.

It's hooked up to the Factory Bose via a Dave Navone LOC, I also supplemented it with a 300W Xtant amp and an Adire Audio 12" Sub. It sounds great.

When I lived in NJ, I actually didn't like shopping at 6ave, but now that I live out of state, I don't mind.(no sales tax ) They have a promotion called "Name Your Price" that they run frequently, that's the reason I was able to get mine so cheap. You just need to sign up for their email alerts.
