Just need a little more BASS

1G TSX '08

I'd like to keep the OE headunit and add an amp with one Sub, through a custom harness from PAC. Would anyone know if this set up is even possible?

PAC AOEM-HON20(harness) > JL Audio 250/1v2(amp) > JL Audio CS110TG-W1v2(sub w/enclosure).

Thanks in Advance!

Anybody? I have all the JL equipment and tools necessary for the install, just no harness.

I recently disc. my stock sub and connected my own aftermarket amp and 12...(down from 2 12's that were overpowering). I ran the remote from the same remote wire as the stock amp, ran power and ground (obviously) and I'm getting my signal from the speaker wire from the sub with an LOC (line output converter). With that you splice into the signal from the speaker wire and run your RCA's for signal to amp. It's 27 bucks at best buy for one.

GL.

Thanks for the advice. I know for you the LOC is working fine, but do you know anything about the harness I stated above. It has 2 pairs (front L R) (rear L R) of RCA cables coming out of it. So I was wondering if it would be possible for the front pair to go to a 4ch amp to run the front components and rear door speakers. The rear set to a mono and sub. Just tell me if this sounds crazy. Thanks!

4 channel amp requires 4 rca ins... you'd need all 4 outputs from that harness to supply a 4 channel amp...

Sorry I wasn't more help. I thought you were simply adding bass and leaving all else stock. GL though!

What if I ran Y-Splitters on the RCA's for the rear speaker input to the 4 Ch Amp?

the idea of the 4 channel LOC is that you take signal from the front speaker outs on the H/U and the rear speaker signal from the rear speaker outs on the H/U. this still gives you fader via your H/U. you could use a 2 channel LOC with y splitters, but you would lose all fader abilities...

I'll just lose fader capabilities, but signal shouldn't be compromised. Thanks Mattastick!
