Install Pic

Finally gutted the bloze system and upgraded. Wow! What a difference! You never realize just how much the stock system is lacking until you replace it. Aftermarket gear is so clean. I was satisfied with the face plate. Didn’t pay a fortune for it so it isn’t perfect. But it works for me. My only complaint is the amount of space below the HU. I was thinking about mounting my remote there just to take up the space. I was also thinking about getting some matching wood grain and trimming the edges, but I’m not sure how that would look. Its just nice to find an install place around here that is professional and actually takes pride in their work. The installer actually gave me a cd of pictures of my car in pieces. Plus they cut me a pretty good deal for the whole setup. I didn’t get a audiophile type system or a comp system just something that sounds sweet with my music and looks good. The silver and blue face of the Alpine 7893 or 7895 really goes well with our dashes. Especially at night.

Looks pretty clean there...the plate matched fairly well. I agree, you should find something to take up the space on the bottom...the remote would look good there.

Did you upgrade the speakers or anything?

Yeah, I had already replaced the rear 6x9's so all I needed to do was replace the front components. I was trying to get the best system within my budget so I used an older 4 channel Alpine amp and a Rockford punch sub amp. The alpine deck is powerful enough to push the rear speakers since they are just filler anyways, and I bridged the 4 channel to push the front components since that is where most of your effects come from. Then the sub was attached to the RF amp. Again, nothing special just a clean sounding setup that didn't break my bank.

I emailed that guy Satin Slayer recommended out in CA and he said he could make me one. Check out that post and you can see. There was also another one someone was marketing that claimed they had a double din plate in addition to the single din.
