Help please. Simple question on new head unit.

Hey I asked this question over a year ago and never got a reply, I thought I was gonna sell the car and didn't pursue it any further but here I am with my good ol CL still in possession.

I want to add the metra kit and add a single din head unit but before doing that I want to make sure I wont lose my navigation functionality. I dont want to lose steering wheel controls on volume if theres any kits for that

Heres the head unit

Thanks for any help.

btw its a 2001 cl-s if that matters.

If anyone in bay area could recommend a shop I would be thrilled . Thanks.

That Alpine deck is awesome. It has an input on the back for a steering wheel control interface. All you need is the interface. PAC Audio makes a great piece called the SWI-JACK. That stands for Steering Wheel Interface - JVC, Alpine, Clarion and Kenwood. It needs to be wired into your stereo harness in the car. It also needs to be programmed to your car and deck. The response is slightly slower than the OEM deck but it works great none the less.

I have the parts and bits that you need. I can assemble the complete harness with SWI-JACK for you. This way you'd just have to PLUG IT IN. And you wouldn't have to pay the outrageous install prices that a car audio shop will tag you for.

PM or email me if you're interested.
