Flex in door windows?

I've braced my door cutout with a 3/4in. spacer on the front and rear of the cutout. Talk about stiff...

Anyway, I noticed with the speaker mounted in a 1/4in spacer to go on top of the 3/4in spacer (1 1/4in total), there was like a 1/4 in or so gap between the magnet and the window rolled down.

I could easily make another 3/4 in spacer to make for a total of a 1 1/2in spacer.

My question is concerning the risk of the window smacking into the back of the speaker and breaking. Is there a risk? Should I just go ahead and use two 3/4 spacers?

What can I expect in terms of getting the door panel back on?

Thx.

That was a big concern I had to. I did have my windows down during the install and had about half a inch to a inch of gap bewteen the window left.

I have the same clearence on my front doors. Have not had a problem. The glass and rails are pretty rigid. I don't belive they flex any more than 1/16-1/8 if any. It may be easier for you two add some washers to the bolts that hold the rails to the inside of your door panel this will push the rails / window a little further away from the magent. Else you may have to deal with your speaker being too tight against the door panel. But if you clearly have 1/4 icnh then you will probably be fine. I also put 3m strip calk behind the mdf spacer which game me almost another 1/4 inch of clearence.
