The Alumapro bandpass sub is ported directly into the cabin thru the now empty stock sub hole. The empty 9" grill hole is filled with foam to silence trunk road noise. Entire trunk is Dynamated also.
Right now I'm making a plexi & vinyl enclosure for my Phoenix Gold 1.2-farad capacitor in the trunk's left side pocket/indentation thingy. Should be done soon!

It wasn't expensive - just time consuming, really! I bought the sheet of plexi (1/4" thick) for about $40 from a plastics place and cut the two sides myself. Made the amp cover and a new trunk floor to "hold" the subwoofer and recess the amps - still have my spare! Bought some matching carpet/trunk lining that is actually better than stock. And some quality black vinyl that matches the TL's - not glossy.
I can put stuff right on top of the amps and have most of my trunk space. Still might change the top to one piece of thicker plexi one day. And I'll be adding some blue neon soon.

HOT ****!

I'm impressed! Good work man. Very clean!
*Do you think those amps could overheat there?
*What is holding up your sub? I had to make a bracket the spare slides under, then the sub and bracket is bolted directly to the frame. But it looks like with your sub on its back you would havemore vertical room to push it all the way back and this wouldn't be necessary, correct?
*I'm impressed you kept your spare... does all that just pop out somehow?
*Do you think it is better having the sub fire through the rear trunk deck as opposed to towards the rear of the car?
Sorry for all the questions but I have the same sub and amp (ZX400) and I was thinking about redoing the install since I have no room for a second amp (for the interior speakers).

* I'm still contemplating cutting some vents over the fans. But I've had them like that for awhile and have had no probs running the amps for a couple hours at a time. Also those amps will auto-shut-off if they overheat.
*I made a seperate "floor" for the sub that rests over the fuel pump wiring. In fact, I had to make a channel under the floor so the wires wouldn't be pinched by the sub. That sub floor is hinged to the rest of the trunk floor so I can lift the floor and get to the spare.
* I've moved that thing around every way and decided the regular, upright position sounds best to me. The empty stock sub hole is stuffed with foam to eliminate the trunk/road noise and that sub kicks thru that port. I'm really happy with it.
