not a popular brand? Well not to those who think rockford and kicker are high end. DD is one of the true high end companys. I had a dd 9515d motor and wow she got nasty loud.

^^ you ain't kidding... There's a local guy running 2 9510's off a Z1a, and doing 152+ in a crx in street B. He can't run it on a small battery (for street A) or he'll be killing batts every run. Now, if he added the other 10 and amp that he could for his current class, that would be scary....

DD is sick, btw. Very proven products. The only thing I don't like about them is that their subs like higher tuning. Not really a bad thing, but I love my lows...

What I mean by not popular is ...well....not popular. It is basically a brand that is usually seen in audio competitions and isn't sold by many places (circuit city, best buy, mobile 1, crutchfield, and many online audio sites.)

I have 3512 that i picked up a few years ago and love it. it is going strong despite the harsh weathers of texas. I made this thread wondering what the satisfaction of other owners are. I am completely satisfied b/c of their performance and the lack of popularity! My gf calls it the "daredevil speakers" *facepalm*

I've had a 4 DD500 12' singel 4 OHM subs since 2004. I've been moving them with a Memphis Mojo bumping 2002 WRMS for a couple of years and until last year with a MMATS 3000 WRMS and they've hold up. It's not a very popular brand for street use, but very popular in Sound Shows. The pro thing is that they are hand made and are underrated. Mine are supposed to withstand 300 WRMS and I've even pumped them with 600 to 750 WRMS each. It is a cool brand.

Recently heard 4 9515 on 2 Arc SE 4000 amps. Loud would be a nice way to describe it.

I got my friend to pick up a 3512 about 2 years ago. It gets damn loud in his RSX and sounds good while doing so. He replaced it for some Hertz Hi-Energy subwoofers though.
