Quick question, there is a lot of posts on how to take out the not an ash tray compartment and center console but im still unsure how to remove the compartment above the not an ash tray, i think it is officially called the cd storage compartment. Also do i need to take anything out before removing it or is it not tied down to anything else.

Pops right out. no screws. Apply firm, but not hard, pressure against side walls and pull straight out. be careful not scuff up the sides of the console. There's also a light attached to the top of the cd storage container. that twists and pops off easy.
