you should be able to connect almost any alpine cd changer to the stock bose headunit using the blitzsafe adapter.. you might be able to use other brands as well but i know for sure that alpine will work...

I'm sorry, sometimes I'm a little slow. What wire? The only items you need are the Blitzsafe ($99) and the Alpine S630 ($229). Mine is also a '99. I'll try and help best I can.

I put mine under the front passenger seat facing the back. I did this for two reasons. First, it was easier to wire this way. I ran the wire under the center console and had it come out under the seat. Second, I can change CD's while still in the car without having to get out to get into the trunk.

It can be a potnetial problem for people sitting in the back seat, but I can live with that. Good luck.

I agree. As I said in the post linked in this one, I was impatient and didn't want to wait for an on-line purchase, so I would bet it can be found cheaper somewhere else.

Once I got all of the information, not that long. The hardest part was getting off the side panels in order to get behind the radio. If you use all of the threads linked in this thread, you could have it in within a couple of hours, maybe less. Good luck.
