Which Alpine Changer is better?

I'm trying to decide which changer to keep. I have the Alpine CHA-S605 with the optical output. This was Alpines best at one time. now they have the CHA-S624, and this changer also has the optical output. I do use the optical ouput. The question is, which is a better changer. I actaully have both. The 624 is brand new, and I'm wondering if I should keep that one, and sell my 605, or do it the other way around. Any Alpine fans have any input for me? Thanks.

Why not go for the 12 disc changer the ALpine CHA1214?

It does not have a digital optical output.

It also allows the connection and input signal to my other digital components, like my digital EQ, and X-over with optical inputs easy. If I were to use an analoque output, the digital X-over and eq would then convert that signal to digital, then back to analoque to the amps. This way it all stays in the digital stage, and I can have 1 less A/D, D/A conversion.
