Acura CL mounting bracket for Radio. Quick question.

hey whats up I got an acura cl 98 3.0L . So lately ive been getting tired of my CDs so what do i do? I buy an aftermarket radio that I can plug my ipod into. So right before I start stripping the wires I notice the mounting bracket doesn't fit with the aftermarket radio I got (JVC). Question to you guys is. Do I need to buy a new radio? If so which one will work with it? (150 max willing to spend on radio) Im not picky I just cant work with CDs getting scratched and burning new ones. Or do I need a fabricator to make a custom bracket for me?

The dash kit should hold it in fine. I think that's what you are asking. Pics are horrible and description of issue is even worse

You don't need to buy a new radio, just buy a dash kit for a 94-97 accord / 97-99 acura CL and you'll be golden

dam i think i worded it wrong. Excuse me I don't know the correct terminology for it. Simply put. Theres a metal piece you skrew into the back of your radio that keeps it in place. I tried to put that metal piece into the back of my new radio but the stupid skrews dont fall into place. I will put more detailed pictures after I finish my exam if you still don't understand where Im coming from.

The holes you circled are for the wiring harness. You'll need to get a 94-97 Accord/97-99 CL wiring harness and link that with the wiring harness from your JVC.

The cage doesn't have anything to do with the back of the deck. It's just to hold the deck to the dash kit.

You need one of these, you can't use the stock brackets from the stock radio.

The inner portion is the same. The console is different, but the dash area where a stereo goes is the same. I've worked on both, FYI.

I would strongly suggest you get a friend or someone that has done this before to help you with your first radio install.
