3 Magic Wires To Replace / Solve Dimming Lights
I want my car to be electricly optimal. I'm adding a system and maybe fog lights... I have a Navi and a Radar detector.... In a 2000 TL.
So I'm going to replace or add to these wires with 4 guage... I don't know what's in there yet or how they look...
1) from negative battery terminal to chassis of the car
2) from negative battery terminal to engine block
3) from positive battery terminal to alternator w/ an ANL fuse
I hear this can drastically improve the flow of current...
~Please let me know what we have stock and if this is an easy diy or how many feet I'll need if anyone has done this~

Remember to have your security code, because your nav will want it after pulling the battery.
Good luck with the character building and post pics when you're done.
And the part about the ANL fuse... does the TL have a fusible link inline from the alternator to the battery?

keep us posted! i think i might be looking into upgrading the stock battery wires. Are you just going to buy regular wire and do it, or i think there is a kit out there, but im not sure

same here!
I have done the magic 3 on a few cars but have yet to do it on my TL. The reason why is it's little bit of a chore to get the positive to alternator wire. I would imagine if you are hell bent on doing it you are going to need a great deal of time and patience.

Those look cool. Well anyways, I am starting to get light dimming in my car due to my amp. It just startd a few days ago, and I don`t want to yet get a cap. So I will probably go with this Magic 3 thingie to overcome the light dimming and have more current flow in general. What exactly would I need? I know I can buy these cables at AutoZone, I have seen them. What gauge cables would I need? For the fuse, what is the amp rating I will need?
why wouldnt you want to get a cap when you have a system.
not only does it look good next to your setup in your trunk, it keeps the flow of electricty running when your stopped at a light or something its only 100 bucks and keep my lights from dimming,
