My Car: 2005 Acura TSX


My Navigation setup: Pioneer Avic Z3


My mod I would like to integrate: I have a Backup camera I would like to install, it has standard with RCA lines that go into the Z3 unit directly



My question:

I need to tap into the car's Reverse signal so the Z3 navi turns on the camera display automatically when I put the gear in Reverse, my initial thought was the reverse lights in the trunk but thats too far back away from the navigation unit.

Where can I tap into for the Reverse signal, area in the car plus the specific Pin # or wire color would be helpful!

It's a GREEN wire in the driver kick panel located in the main harness going to the rear of the car.

how did you wire it? did you tap into the reverse?

I put mine on a toggle switch b/c sometimes while driving, i switch it on to see behind me for the hell of it

Did you screw or tape the camera into that plastic piece next to the license plate lights? If taped, what kind of tape did you use?

Xenonhid, im buying a used 2005 Acura TSX W/O the Nav and the very first thing i want to do is upgrade the head unit but im not sure how to go about wiring the whole thing while still keeping the a/c controls... Can you or anyone give me a quick breakdown of how this was done...

XENONHID, I was wondering where you purchased your dash kit for your Installation of the Pionerr unit. I am interested in putting a unit in mine, possibly an alpine, but i cant find a place that knows where to get the dash kit.

Can you please explain to me how did you put the Pioneer Navigation Into the Acura TSX ?. I have the same TSX and wondering what do they do with the circle board that Is behind the radio before pioneer Navigation were Installed ?. what kit and how did
the pioneer were Install on that vehicle please reply I'm trying to put on In mines.
