Exclamation Avatar Information Thread!

After some nifty work behind the keyboard, has re-enabled Avatars!

Also, thanks to SiGGy and our hosting facilities, we're going to host them for free as well, which is something we have been unable to do previously!

To add a custom avatar for yourself, enter your userCP, by clicking this link: Your Account
Then click on this link which is on the left hand side of the screen.
Edit Avatar

Then you add a link to where your old avatar was hosted, or you can browse your own computer for a new avatar.
Please keeep in mine that the maximum size of your custom image is 96 by 120 pixels or 100.0 KB.

Enjoy, and if there are any questions or problems, please PM me.

Robb gave you the dimensions for Admin avatars. I'm going to adjust the max size for member avatars.

Size is now 175 (Left column minus 5 pixel margins) x 125.

100.00KB will remain the upload limit. That's plenty adequate. Everyone who has an avatar on this page has kept it under 10KB... so there's alot of elbow room there.

What's the size now ??

Looks like we're back to the old limit of 96 wide x 196 long ??

"That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 96 by 196 pixels."

Doesn't work for me... maybe I'm missing somethign

Here's what the avatar edit page looks like to me....

http://john-perry.com/forumpics/316.jpg is 125 x 83 pixels, 4.1kb, and it comes up with the "That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 96 by 196 pixels." message.

I thought it was 175x125, so I tried also tried to load http://john-perry.com/forumpics/316.jpg (175 x 117 pixels - 7kb), but got the same err message.
