Well getting there isn't a problem for Friday. The drive home might be, but if we wait for a few hours and let it melt (which it will by noon), we all will be fine.

Remember this is Texas, Ice only stays for a really short period if we get any.

I'm reserving the upper level at the Iron Cactus for Saturday night. Starting at 7pm. Unless I hear otherwise very quickly.

Here's what I have to do to secure it:
It requires a credit card, don't mind using mine. We have to guarantee a minimum of $500 in food and/or drinks. Me and my wife will do at least $100 between ourselves. If we have 20-30 people come and spend $25-$30 then we got it covered easily.

Let me see a quick count out of the 35+ people of who will NOT come to dinner or for some drinks. I'll assume out of the 35+ confirmed attendees for the drive that some of you will have a guest with you. I know of ~5 others that will be guests with me that are not confirmed on the list and will eat/drink with us.

Parking: ATXCLS says "Actually, the garage at the Omni, while $7 a pop, always has plenty of room to park, and has roaming security. They are right at 8th and San Jacinto-so not bad at all." There is meter parking along the street. I plan to shuttle/walk from the Hampton Inn to the restaurant to avoid drinking & driving.

Note: Saturday night at the Iron Cactus is the starting point for the evening on 6th St. Come, meet with us that are eating there (mostly out of towners) and have a drink (if you are of age). We can decide if we want to stay and listen to their live band or go walking 6th St.
