Future Power Window Failure

Hi all,

I have a 23 Type S, and I really can't tell if my front driver's side window motor is starting to fail. It does roll up and down, but I swear it rolls up slowly. Can Acura diagnose if it is failing BEFORE it does fail?

I know this is a stupid request, but could anyone post a video of their driver's side window rolling down and up? I want to see if it is similar to the speed of mine.

Thanks so much!

I ended up spraying some silicone lubricant into the window channels and that seems to have helped speed it up. Hopefully, it lasts!

I would probably get it checked out sooner rather than later. It's only going to get colder and having the window not roll up when you need it to may bring introduce new issues down the road (mold/mildew, etc).

The silicone spray seems to be doing the trick. If it slows again, I'll ask Acura at my next service visit. I don't plan on keeping this car long-term, so I'm not too worried about it.

At least you have the "fun" version of the TLX. My A-Spec became expendable since the used car market was still slightly crazy.
