Window switches

On the drivers door, the window switch that controls the drivers window, which has the automatic up and down feature. Can you replace the rest of the switches with the same one that controls the drivers window? If so, where is a good source for window switches online?

It isn't clear what you intention is. So I assume that you want to add window auto-up/down function to the other three windows.

It's actually the window controller that's doing the trick, and only the driver-side-front circuit has this auto function. This auto-up/auto-down function requires the controller to monitor the motion of the driver-side-front window motor. When the motor stops spinning after the auto-up or auto-down button is toggled, the controller automatically cuts the power to prevent the motor from burning out.

So even if you replace all three other doors with auto-up/down switches and motion-sensing window motors, the window controller has no provision to take in the extra wires. There is no way to add auto-up/down function to the other windows unless you start messing around with the window controller.

what's the point, just hold ur finger down a little longer and save the mod for something else.
and i doubt anyone would be able to help you as very few have even thought about something like this. but either way, good luck on your quest

Like some older VW's, you could replace each individual switch and not the hole assembly. Why bother with that, too much work for such a little piece of comfort. Thanks for advise and info.
