So it appears the Modern Steel Metallic will indeed not be offered with a red interior. Many posters assumed that was just an oversight in early marketing materials.
That's a missed opportunity for sure -- for MY2021, the Stinger was offered for the first time in Panthera Metal (dark grey) and red interior, and it's awesome. Not showy on the outside, but really pops on the inside with the red interior. Maybe next year?

It is SUPER ANNOYING that the Canadian TLS Type S will not come with that gorgeous orchid interior! It will just be red or black only!!!!!!!!!!!!! CRAZY!
Does anyone else feel like Acura flew out all YouTubers and paid for their flights, hotels and food to make it hard for them to knock the car? They're IN the car with you, how are you going to be unintimidated and not influenced by it? Feels like Acura pampered them and in return they'll get pro-biased reviews. I would wait for reviews from reviewers who don't play the game - and there are those out there.

I don't disagree with you, but SG is becoming my all time favorite. Regardless of his preference, he is the least biased YouTube reviewer. He praised the RDX and TLX a lot, but with MDX he did say this isn't a sport SUV and kinda told Acura calm down lol! Let's wait and see for these reviews coming tomorrow 9AM!

I spent two days with SG filming my Accord. He (and Jack) have a huge contempt for Honda/Acura today. They like the Accord, RDX and are split on TLX (Mark likes it, Jack doesn't). We filmed in-shop segment where we give it to Honda hard over many things, including my TLX lemon and issues I was having but after we talked to his Honda rep Jessica, she asked to have that removed from the video and in return she would help me resolve issues I had with my Accord (it was too late for the TLX). I know Mark wouldn't be happy that I'm sharing this but I wasn't happy we took out the segment where I spoke about issues that Accord was giving me. At the end, I got the issue fixed by making friends with the service director over few months. When my wife bought the new CR-V, I had a chance to talk to him and he was so surprised we went with another Honda product. He also told me he has hard time getting Honda cars because Honda is SUPER strict on what reviewers say about Honda and Acura. He doesn't agree to it and that's why he was sarcastic in RDX video about Acura sending him the unit in the dead of winter. He didn't get to review Accord until I offered it. Probably why he wasn't invited to CA for TLX-S launch.
The Straight Pipes also didn't get invited since they pretty much destroyed the TLX last year. According to them (mentioned in 2022 G70 review), they won't get a Type-S tester until "much later in the year". Which makes me believe people will have to wait a while before a second batch becomes available for sell in Canada.

Which just tells you that Acura/Honda are no longer run by people passionate for the brand. They're now run by bean counters and Monday-morning meetings where they use phrases like "full stop".

Yeah, my dealer told me that the Modern Steel Metallic would be offered with the ebony as well as the red interior. I was taking my dealer's word for it, although others weren't believing it.
2 more minutes! Pricing looks good. Happy the wheel/tire package was only $800. Well worth it. Likely stopping by the dealer this afternoon to see how the ordering works.
Ugh! Why would they tie the availability of Orchid interior with which wheel selection I want? I swear I'll never understand why they limit colors like they do.
Acura is claiming 0-60 on “about” 5 seconds. Haven’t seen an actual test claim yet.

yeah, I knew the car couldn’t make up a full second from the Aspec with less than 100 added horse and even more weight. I was thinking low 5’s so I’m “happy” but I was being optimistic is could break into the high 4’s.
A few things in Canada that differ from the us, i think we get heated steering wheel, summer tires/ wheels are the only option. I didnt see it listed on the us builder but maybe i missed it, there is an aero kit (looks like same side skirts as A spec but different bumper pieces.) and all season mats. They also list 2 winter tire options. Everyone in Canada gets winter tires so this is a smart move. summer tires are clearly not going to be on the vehicle in winter so scoop up a $2500 winter tire sale at the same time. Ive been wondering why manufacturers havent been doing this in Canada for a while. All seasons are useless here, everyone tales them off in winter so might as well have proper aummer tires.

Simple bolt on and a tune will definitely get you in the low 4.5 seconds.
