That TLX-S looks clean, not my personal choice of wheels but I can definitely appreciate how clean it looks.
Now, back to the topic of this thread - who is ordering a new PMC model?
I talked to my sales woman about it at our company's Acura dealer but she don't know anything more than what the press release revealed. Im sure they'll get one but Im interested to see if someone will trade their Type-S in for a Type-S PMC in my area and if that's the case I will be on the lookout to see if a TEP (Tiger Eye Pearl) or PRP (Performance Red Pearl) gets traded in.

Anything is possible. I couldn’t imagine trading in my Type S with only 5,500 miles on it. It’s paid off in full but the woman who rear ended my car when it was 9 days old surely dropped its value to some degree. 🥺

Damn Krylon If only you could have sued her for diminished value.... yeah its crazy I wouldn't trade in my Type-S either If I had one but for those who are gonna trade one S for a PMC-S I will be on lookout to pickup where they left off in the base Type-S
PMC is neat and all but it's not worth the mark up. These end up sitting in showrooms to collect dust. These newer ones may sell better only because of limited supply and people wanting a Type S.

If only she had insurance or even a job/home to go after. But nope, she had nothing. Just a crappy totaled 2009 Nissan Rogue and a false sense of entitlement.
I'd get one if I didnt have a type s already but i've put over 10k into mine so id be a dummy to get rid of it plus I have 90% of the pmc add ons already.
You have seen the recent Acura commercials, right? Think back to the two TLX ones, the MDX, the Integra ... I see alot of Acuras street racing.
The discussion was about street racing. How did you manage to find an opportunity to squeeze in a chance to bash an Acura commercial? You must really hate the brand.
I absolutely hate street racing, especially when you have someone losing control right in front of you and your family that’s commuting.

A fictional enclosed environment where a car is showing off it’s speed? It’s called marketing. I love to speed as it’s an adrenaline rush and I do so on empty highways but I don’t race because it’s dangerous. It takes one mistake to severely hurt or kill someone. There is no good time or place to street race. Get on the track.

I wasn't bashing any Acura commercials. I actually like them ... those pretty Acuras racing around. But the question was "why is everyone obsessed with street-racing". Well, I think it's because Acura has chosen to associate it with the brand.
And admittedly @KrylonBlue likes to speed so I think yall have your answer.

I just found it odd that you would blame an advertisement for enabling street racing when nobody was talking about marketing. It’s really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find a way you can bring up an Acura commercial in a street racing discussion where nobody was talking about Acura. Do you really think someone sees a TV commercial and then wants to street race?
Bye’s not wrong, we have some real tryhard red light racers here who think everyone buys a car to be faster than the person next to them. The proof is in the TLX vs competition thread. We have one member talking about how fast his car is with a JB4 that’s not even in the same segment when nobody even asked him and another who claims his stock A5 can so 0-60 in 2 seconds.
I haven’t seen a group this obsessed with numbers from magazines since high school.
Wanted to also point out, speeding is not street racing. There’s a reason they differ in penalties for each.

There are a lot of people who go above the posted speed limit but it’s about where one does it. I don’t do it on main roads or side streets and I certainly don’t go crazy on highways either. I generally go with traffic and if the speed limit is 70mph I may do 90mph. That’s not really a big deal in all honesty.
There is a big difference between spirited driving and going with traffic flow and that of street racing.
these unique pmc colors sure will look nice in the rear view mirror of a kia stinger!
agreed! Acura knew that Stinger has a limited life span, so they are giving an opportunity to Stinger owners to see some beautiful Colors before The coffin is buried! As we all know after 4-5 years, those stingers won’t be on the road. Acura’s act of kindness 😉
let's do a cannonball run then to settle which is the faster automobile
You’ll only end up holding up traffic for my Wifey in her Tesla on her way to pick up the kids from school. She’s a speeder and I’m apparently the “grandpa driver” according to others. No offense to the awesome grandfathers!

I’m not feeling the bronze wheels on red paint. Would look better in blue or black.
Also not liking the blakc door handles. Reminds me of the black colored door handles you would find on the old base DX models.
Agreed on everything. Honestly, I don't see that much of a difference compared to the "regular" red, though it might be more apparent side-by-side. It doesn't really make sense to get the white one either IMO. The only color I'd go for if I were to go with a PMC TLX-S would be the blue. But those bronze wheels are so gaudy and out of place looking to me. The black door handles (and completely black side mirrors) make the car look unfinished. Acura did a heckuva job with the 2022 RDX PMC ... this one, eh, not so much.
Blue looks pretty good. Ofc if they made it an Type-S Advance, I would consider talking to my dealer about trading in my Tiger Eye Pearl TLX. I might just make do with exterior mods to get it close to PMC but I don't really wanna stomach the asking price for the Carbon Fiber stuff.

IMO, the CF pricing is probably going to be more reasonable than any aftermarket component.

Thanks for sharing!
Wait, the PMC is not like the previous ones. A-SPEC Advance? I am actually very disappointed. Then what's the point of PMC here?

Other than giving the workers at the PMC something to do with the NSX retiring, not sure lol
I'm honestly still not sure why the Advance features didn't make it to the TLX Type-S in the USA. I would've gladly paid a bit more to get the Advance features on my Type-S. Fortunately for Canadians it doesn't seem to be a problem.

totally agreed! At least in Canada we get most of the features minus HUD.
I'm personally really disappointed that the Type S PMC edition lacks Advance features. I simply don't understand Acura's product planning in this regard. There is a subset of TLX buyers, myself included, who'd be really interested. The PMC colors ook good, though. Given the relatively light additional feature content, I hope the pricing is not much higher.

The PMC Edition fixes the wrongs of not including side/rear body skirts which should have always been included given the body lines created with the front splitter.
The car falls short with those ugly rims and black door handles. I much prefer the original color for the Y-Spoke.

I agree on the rims. Copper color rims just don’t do it for me! Gloss black ones would have made more sense.
I’m also disappointed that the surround cam wasn’t added, but overall I like the look. Tint the windows and it will pop. It’s really going to come down to how much the premium is over the standard Type S. My guess is $3,500 which if you were inclined to dress up a standard Type S probably would represent a good deal for the uniqueness of the package. The blue with the orchid interior is pure fire.
