Acura TLX Type-S PMC Edition - Official Reveal

Very close with the Lexus IS - at least on the outside. The dated and somewhat more traditional/conservative interior design, especially the relatively boring dashboard layout in the IS - bumps the TLX to first place. And, no, the sliding gauge cluster in the F Sport IS models is not quite enough.

As a comparison, my 2022 RDX PMC is one of 200 built for North America, of which I believe only 15-25 were for Acura Canada. I suspect that the fact that it is fully loaded relates to the fact there isn't yet a type S version of the RDX. Regardless, I am so happy with this vehicle and have received rave reviews from friends and strangers - and Spring hasn't yet sprung here!

Agree, continue to get compliments at least twice a week on the RDX PMC, even on the highway other RDXs pull next to it and take a look. Long Beach Blue is stunning.
Dealer has the 130R TLX unwrapped from weeks ago, surprised it hasn't sold yet.

I get the Long Beach Blue and Curva Red ... both colors are striking and real attention getters. I didn't think the Curva Red would be judging by the pics but I saw one out in the street and it's like a goddamn beacon with how much it stands out in traffic.
But white? Who the heck would pay that much for something that most people wouldn't be able to differentiate from a white A-Spec? I sure as Hell wouldn't even pay MSRP, let alone ADM. I'm not a huge fan of the bronze wheels either, but it does help with the "special edition" factor I suppose.

Previous Gen TLX didn't have a Type S so you are comparing apples and oranges. All I'm saying is that Type S or Type R will hold their value well compared to the non Type S or R models. If you don't think so go buy a lightly used model with low mileage and in great condition and let us know how much you paid.
If the type S is only produced for a couple years like the 3rd gen then that will boost resale. If they keep producing them year after year then it doesn't help but the model will always be more desirable than the regular variant. Trying to extrapolate value years down the road is difficult since the used car market is at such an imbalance currently and add in the push to EV's and how that ends up affecting overall demand for ICE vehicles as the government will make it more expensive to operate them and eventually even buy one. Not a fan of the trend but it's pretty obvious they want to force the change on people one way or another and don't care if people want it or not.

I completely agree the red and blue are both nice, just too loud in traffic for me personally.

I generally go for more subdued colors and I like light color cars for the Florida sun, so if I was in the market for a PMC, I would likely be one of those idiots going for the white one.

My guess is that they aren't discounting it so that they have an "attention" car in the center of the showroom. I suspect they will charge a high ADM and put the ITS in the center of the showroom when it arrives this month, and start discounting the TLX PMC so that it sells at that time.

So far you're right. Car is still in the showroom unsold....

ADM will be useless on that showroom car since there's very little that's exclusive to the PMC other than exterior color and wheel color.

I've been looking for a GLS450 and cross-shopping w/the X7. This is how you know Mercedes/BMW are in a different world:
1) Most dealerships asking for ADM. One Mercedes dealer asked for $20k over MSRP on a car that starts at $82k!
2) If you are an existing customer, you may get MSRP as a courtesy.
3) Local dealerships near me were closed on Memorial Day, one of the hottest shopping days of the year!
4) Mercedes had no incentives in May and June. BMW just removed loyalty incentive in June.
Salesmen most be rolling in commission.

8% will definitely impact quite a bit of Acura sales (hence the growing incentives).

Interest rate: TLX TYPE S 7.5% vs. Audi S5 4.5%
Incentive: TLX TYPE S 0 vs. Audi S5 $2K
Other: TYPE S = 0. Audi S5, winter tires, winter mats and tinted windows included.
The same, I experienced when my family member was shopping for E class. The car was priced at $107K CAD and he was willing to give it for $95K! My family member still did not take it. He went with G80. Finally, I pass by this Audi dealer and their lot is packed with new cars.

Wow! In Canada, the Germans are desperate and offers massive incentives compared to Acura, Lexus and Genesis. Also, their interest rates are half of the brands I mentioned. I am a loyal Acura/Honda customer for 20 years and for TYPE S, I was told don't expect anything. Not even the 1% loyalty as I own a 2020 MDX. I went to Audi to test drive S5. The guy was so desperate to sell me one.

Based on my preferences, I should definitely move to Canada. LOL!

Honestly, Canada is not a big market compared to the U.S but the Japanese brands have insane rates. Right now Acura TLX TYPE shows 7.59%. and Lexus IS 350 7.5%. Doesn't make sense! I would never lease or finance at this rate. Come join us here :0 we are a friendly nation!

I was offered this promo: Audi is desperate by offering $2K discount and 2% reduction as loyalty in rate. Lexus and Acura are far away from this competition. I believe Germans do not have supply chain issue, whereas Acura hit a major roadblock and they couldn't meet the demand. So, that's there aren't offering any incentives. Come buy your car from here

Audi is a distant third amongst the Germans and its reputation may be falling further than Lexus. Their reliability hasn't been the best lately.

MDX Type S units leave the lot of my dealer mostly within days of arriving. Same for TLX Type S. Most are still sold when they arrive.

6G TLX-S
The inventory levels are region dependent. Some dealers have stock, while most don't.

There were incentives advertised around here and someone posted in CA too ... but only for the MDX Type-S ... just to get them moving since they couldn't keep up with standard MDX demand as it was.
The dealer most local to me is actually the smallest dealer and has 4 TLX-S's exactly the way I'd spec it. White with black interior and Y-Spoke wheels. I kinda wanted the red interior to break it up from the RDX that's white on black, but I've been seeing mixed reviews with how the red interior holds up.
