I put a deposit down on a Type S last January. I've been checking in every 6 weeks or so. No news. Yesterday (Thursday) the dealer contacted me and said the Type S is going into production/being released. Apparently the 'first run' is only going to have limited color selection. (our choice.. Liquid Carbon Metallic) isn't in the first run supposedly. If we want that, we are going to have to wait for Feb/March.(not waiting)

Our second choice was white. That is apparently an option for the first run. (Black, Grey (silver??) and White are options in the first run, might be others, but Liquid Carbon Metallic isn't one of them) I think its already been mentioned on here. The Type S MDX is offered in the "tech" and "advanced" package.

Interior color options for first run are black and red or white (orchid?)

Dealer mailed me what they got from Acura. I should have that later today (Saturday) I'll let you know what I find out.

 

Interesting as Acura's site shows 4 colors you can reserve now (Black/Black, White/Red, Carbon/Red and Tiger Eye/Orchid). It also sounds like other colors will be available Q1 next year.
