TLX Problems after fluid changes?
Hi everyone...hoping to get some insight on my '15 TLX (base).
It took it in for transmission fluid and engine oil changes to my local Acura dealership. Also had them take a look at an recurring problem I've had with transmission "jerking" when accelerating - sometimes when going from 2nd to 3rd the car abruptly slows or "jerks" then speeds up again.
Anyways, after getting the car back, the next day I had these warning lights illuminated:
I responded by asking if they pulled diagnostic troubleshooting codes, pulled the negative battery terminal to reset the ECU and see if it throws codes again, checked fuses and relays...he said yes but seemed to deflect the questions and wasn't clear what the did to diagnose the problem. I thought the ABS light comes on when a wheel speed sensor has malfunctioned, brake fluid is too low, the fuse is blown or the relay is bad, or if the ABS module has developed a defect. But, I also found evidence from other TLX drivers that VSA warning will illuminate, and a code will be tripped by the 3rd and 4th gear transmission sensors.after getting fluid changes.
Is this place messing with me? Anyone else experience something similar? Any help would be appreciated.
Chris

- VSA (stability control not activated
- ABS
- check brake system
- And the gear shift problem was not resolved, either

How is the battery? There is also a transmission reset procedure you can do.
