ABS Light Stays On??????????????

I have an 1997 Acura 3.0CL and everytime when I start the car and apply the brake to put it into gear I hear a buzzing coming from the brake. When I start driving and get upto about 35mph or let it sit for 30-60 seconds the ABS Light comes on and stays on the buzzing stops from the pedal. The car passed inspection and has no problem braking. Can anyone give me insight into this problem and the cost to fix?

Same thing happens with my car. Your abs pump is over running itself, meaning that either the controller module or the pump itself is going bad. Or any number of sensors can cause it to trigger. I've replaced 3 wheel speed sensors, and an axle trying to resolve the issue. The other solution is to have your controller module rebuilt by www.autoecu.com for like $400 this will be my next step. Or replace the whole abs brake pump unit which is over a grand. But if the light comes on everytime you start the car, that means it's throwing a code and you can pull it from the computer, any major carparts store will pull it for you for free, like advanced or autozone. Another couple easy things to check is the positive battery terminal is not coroded, because a loss of power causes the picky abs pump to come on. Also, topping off the brake fluid.

okay thanks, i talked to an acura dealer on the phone and he said it could be about $4,000 if the whole abs system is shot. I'll try out your tips and see what happens.

A lot of members on here recommend topping it off over the fill line, because the reservoir sensor is REALLY touchy.

i looked at it today and it was above the level. I put an after market 1200 watt stereo system in it and hear the buzzing coming from that area of the car. Can that be the problem?
