Unexpected Upgrade

I've been part of the Acura family for over 10 years now. They definitely make great products. I've had my 2005 Acura TL (Nighthawk Black) for almost 9 years & she never gave me a problem; until now. The transmission went on me & it was unexpected. Turned it in to the dealer (As-is) & came home with a new 2015 Acura TLX V6 (Bellanova White Pearl). Here are some pics of them...

Were you able to take the mods off your TL?

If you don't mind, what did they give you on the trade in with the state that the tranny was in? How many miles?

What were the wheels of the second picture? I love that mesh look wheel. Hopefully there's an equivalent for the tlx

Congrats on your new ride. I am sure you will enjoy it, especially all the work required to make that BWP sparkle like the old TL.

I know your situation. I had a 2000 TL for almost 15 years when its dash lights light up like a Christmas tree--Transmission had failed on the freeway. Fortunately it failed into a high gear, so I did get home safely.

That was a Saturday last November. By Monday I had my GLP TLX SH-AWD.

Dig some digging around and they look like XXR 530's. Chuliao, can you confirm if so?

I turned her in with everything; didn't want to deal with anything. The dealership gave me about $4300 for the TL & the mileage on the car was at 123,000. Checked the blue book value & it was around $5,500 for trade, so not too bad; for being that the tranny was gone.

The wheels are XXR 530's (18x8.75 offset 20). They fit flush with no rubbing... I have plans for this beauty; thinking of lowering her on some 20's with a step lip.

Thank you & it's actually not as bad as it was maintaining the Black paint. Loving the BWP!!!
