It's almost decadent to drive with 4 methods of Navigation - Onboard system, Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze. So far, I find Waze navigations routes to be a little weird and perhaps too reactive regarding minor constructions delays. However, having the red light camera reminder come on ay the top of whatever other Apple Car Play screen I'm in is a nice feature. Map wise, I prefer the Google as pretty much every street is labelled and you can input complete addresses with the microphone activated, something which we Canadians can't do with the onboard navigation system.

FYI: Update: Google Maps can now be synced with Itunes, if you so desire
Personally, I'm more of an Amazon Music guy, but what the hell; whatever works!

According to the Google Maps App/IOS: If you're driving, you can even link Spotify, or Apple Music to control your music right from navigation mode
This was released 1 week ago
I personally use Waze, so I have not tried the link
Contact the developer, or App support for details

Just wondering. What so good with Waze vs Google Map vs Apple Map? Or just your liking? I always use Apple Map and Google Map and see no different. However, I use Apple map more cuz it sync with my iWatch. Vibrate as it near every turning destination..

Seems like Waze has more direct routes; is more user friendly; tells you where the police, & accidents, stalled vehicles, etc. are coming up
I like Google Maps, as well; although not as much
Compared to the Acura GPS, Waze blows it away

I also find that useful, with the WAZE info popping up at the top of the screen. And it's still nice to have my other screen fully available for audio and other things - but apparently that is an outdated notion.

Using Waze for the first time and it's sux after ending a phone call, Waze did pop back up the screen. I had to manually select Waze to show the map. Maybe this is because I use NavTool CarPlay. Does your do the same when ending a call or Waze show up on the screen without manually re-select Waze?

The "handshake" between Waze, Google maps, Apple Maps, etc., & the Acura navigation ELS system, is flawless
It's a MAJOR upgrade, over the OEM Navigation system; at least with Apple carplay
Never used android, so I can't vouch for that; but my IPhone SE/128GB/TMobile, charges through USB
BTW: wireless charging is NOT compatible with CarPlay; it's either/or
