Finally got to test it out yesterday
What's great, is that because the IPhone is charging, due to CarPlay, the Waze battery drain is negligible
Only drawback, is that since it's not technically, part of CarPlay apps, you have to physically, turn Waze off
if you decide to cancel your route; otherwise, Music, Text messages, etc., all work great
Apple needs to integrate Waze into CarPlay; better than Apple Maps, or even Google

 

I wish, I'd love to use Waze with CarPlay. Can't see them supporting that since it's 3rd party to them. Could you imagine another party involved in the blame game when something doesn't work with Waze and CarPlay? Good example is the iOS sync issues that still haven't been officially fixed yet. For a while it was Apple blaming Acura and Acura blaming Apple.

 

Android user can get Waze through Android auto. Just one of the reasons I'm thinking of leaving Apple.

 

I'm tempted to pick up some cheap Android phone just to be able to use Waze in the TLX and keep my iPhone as the primary.
