Somewhat decent. But we -- only the Premium and Tech models --already have Siri Eyes, so i don't know if we'll get this new one. Probably in the 2015 models. I don't know.


On a different note, being a Base owner, i was extremely frustrated that they do not offer us an upgrade to Siri Eyes. Even more frustrating they offer Siri Eyes to Premium models when in fact the configuration is the same -- screen, computer, etc (only has XM Radio). I wrote a letter to Acura Client Services, but only received a generic "thank you for your concern" letter.

 

I thought you could only have Siri Eyes if you have AcuraLink in the Tech Package. Is this option available to Premium owners as well?!

 

Yup! Premium models are available for an upgrade. Just us lousy Base owners aren't, even if we have a similar if not identical CPU system

 

Slim to none. Siri Eyes Free is not dependent on an in-car screen which makes it very different than CarPlay. CarPlay 'projects' a specific set of native iOS apps to the vehicles screen. To use the system, it would seem to require a touch interface, something the ILX currently lacks.

With Acura, the best candidates are the current dual screen RLX and MDX with their resistive (lower) touch screens and the capacitive (lower) screen equipped 2015 TLX.

Edit: This is not to say that it couldn't be added to the ILX for it's MMC. The Civic got an all new radio with capacitive touch screen added for it's MMC for 2014 (there is of course, a huge difference in volume with the Civic to consider).
