About those reflecting vents
Left my RLX at the dealer today and got an RDX loaner. Happened to look over at one point, and what did I see?
Closer:
Funny thing is that I leased an RDX for a year before trading for the RLX, and I never noticed it. After all, you have to be where the sun hits it just right, so it's not an all-the-time thing. I sincerely doubt it would bother me in a TLX.

If the mirrors are adjusted properly , this should not be an issue.
You should not see the side of the car with the side mirrors adjusted for blind spot coverage and therefore the reflection should be a non-issue..never noticed it in my Wife's 2014 RDX.

This reflection would be able to be seen in many cars, I'm sure. But it makes it worse if the vent is silver/chrome. I think that is where the real problem is.
And if there were tits were there it definitely would not help, RDX, TLX, wouldn't matter.

I consider this an overblown concern.

Although "window tit" would be too distracting. I think mud flaps with rhinestone tits would make the car look really snappy and would be an aftermarket detail that would really set the owner apart.

I was out on a test driver of a V6 Advance yesterday. About 10 minutes in my son asked if I could see the vent reflection which I did not notice until he mentioned it. Another couple minutes of driving and I did not see it anymore.

I see that phenomena all the time when watching on my big screen (glare, reflections and all).

I just noticed a reflection with my 3G TL after 8 years. I would guess that many cars will have this issue if there is any bright metal/plastic near the window. I have tinted windows. It's no big deal to me but this thread caused me to go out of my way and look for the reflection.

For the people asking if tinted windows will help.
If the reflection is the one I see in the MIRROR then tinted windows should make it slightly less noticeable.
But if the reflection is on the WINDOW than tinting would I believe make it worse.
I never noticed the reflection on my back window of the little ELS badge over the sub. Once I got it tinted I notice it constantly when I look behind me or in my rear view. Doesn't bother me though because its a badge that says sexy.

My TSX doesn't have this problem as the vent surround is black. You can just see the chromey bit in the middle. Much better design aesthetically and functionally. Don't start me on touch screens versus buttons. Retrograde step also.

My only complaint about the touchscreen is that the blue background and blue letters don't have enough contrast and are therefore hard to read (especially when the screen is dimmed for night driving), and I can't figure out why this setup was approved for production.

The touchscreen is of course a whole 'nother topic, but I think Acura did it in response to complaints (mainly by auto mag hacks) that there were too many buttons n Acura center stacks. One 'virtual button" can do the job of several physical buttons, so we get the touchscreen.

Summer is Coming
In hindsight I noticed this the first time I sat in the car during my test drive but at the time I didn't know what is was ....
"One other observation I forgot to mention. The reflection from the side view mirror looked a little odd. No, not the convex part, I mean the overall look of the reflection just looked odd. Maybe I just need to look at it better."
I'm sure I'd probably learn to ignore it. I don't think tint will make it less reflective, but it might cut down on the amount of sunlight reflecting off of it.

AM, FM and XM all look too much alike to make them out while driving. I have to remember which one is where. Looks like it 's the same on the TLX.
