Lol...as soon as I saw "naked women" on this thread, this ad popped up:

This could actually be the TLX GT race car, not the prototype. If it's anything like the HSV-010 GT, it'll have huge front fenders with a cabin pushed all the way back like these pics seem to suggest.

Yeah, others mentioned that earlier, and to be honest, that's what has me stoked more than anything else. Of course, again, it could just be the sheet playing tricks on us.

I think that may be a big surprise.
Link to pic? Again this could be the TLX GT race car with a one-off RWD chassis

More like they're not gonna put all the goodies in the bag at once, you'll see led brake lights around mmc. Honda is known to do that with all their cars.

The Accord already offers LED's (headlights and taillights). Will Acura actually wait till TLX MMC to give us LED's? I would hope not.

RL was introduced in 2004 and it takes long development time line for high tech AWD sedan testing. so design probably froze around year 2000 or so. so you have to compare to 2001 Civic.

what I am pointing out that RL was shrinked in length compared to Legend 1996-2004 but every thing else like width/weight/height increased.

we will find out soon about TLX where it belongs.

any newer turbo 4,which is what honda would most likely put in this car, doesn't live up to the stigmas of 10 years ago that you posted.

Do yourself a favor and drive a 328 with the N20.
Did that and drove the A4...no amount of wizardy and illusion will turn a 4 banger into a creamy V6......no way Jose..

I love FI engines but I would not give up 2 cylinders for that....in particularly I would not trade a beautiful high revving sweet sounding unit like the Honda VTEC J37 for a 4 pots no matter the badge sorry...

I turn around the invitation and tell you to do yourself a favor and drive a 328i and a TL SH-AWD back to back and report back which engine sound and rev better....the F20 pulls very strongly for a small 4 cylinder but it sounds like a fart...sorry...

I hope they pull the cover off the car in about 10 hours and there is a sexy red TLX sitting there and my mouth drops like it did when I first saw the 04 TL.

No matter what is under that sheet later today remember that it is just a prototype and chances are some of the 'fancier bits' may not make it to the production car. That we won't know until the New York Auto Show where we get to speculate all over again. Some are going to be encouraged, some will be disappointed. Hopefully there are more of the former than the later, but they are certainly not going to please everyone.

And I think they teased that rear trunk pic because they are telling me that there are folding rear seats there!

I own the 2013 accord coupe v6 ex-l it has LED DRLs but not low beam LED alla touring version but the Canadian version does, as far as the taillight it does not have it either. That's really dissapointing, you would think because the trim I own would be the equivalent of the touring on the sedan yet we don't have any of that stuff. But like I said watch honda add that stuff by MMC refresh.

Understand. But the top line Accord does offer LED head and tail lights. One would assume that the TLX would at least do the same being their "higher end" offering. But then my logic isn't necessarily Acura's.... Hey, we'll all know soon enough..

Maybe it's just me and my wishful thinking but I have a sneaking suspicion today that we are going to be fairly pleased.

I don't remember this much hype around an Acura unveiling. And I don't remember things being kept so secret before either.

2 more hours!

I drive my shawd everyday. I never argued the fact that a 4cyl sounds better than a v6. I only argued power deliver of a turbo 4 which is fine IMO.

The anticipation for this car is so high because of the love/hate nature of the 4G. Anyone who hated the beak has been waiting for this since 2009, that's a long time.

Isn't it funny how it always goes. It's only now that the 4G TL is about to be changed that buyers and the motoring press are waking up and saying that it is, after all, a very nice car.

^I don't think were displeased with the power train. It's the shell/beak.

But I agree, as times goes on, it will be more and more appreciated.

That sums it up nicely! I might have purchased an acura to replace my current (2G) one if they still looked like the 3G. Since this is a prototype, if it still has a beak, I hope that EVERY magazine - motortrend, car&driver, etc. starts out their articles on it hammering them senseless about the beak. That is what it took for Ballmer to get the message about Vista and I think that is what it will take for Acura to finally get the message if they haven't yet.

They nailed it (the beak) with the refreshed TL. Hopefully they don't become too gun shy and become overly conservative. We'll find out soon.
