Watery Liquid Noise

Hey Guys,
My 2012 TL makes this annoying noise that sounds like a gallon water container is being shaken in the rear of the car. It is driving me insane! Anyone else experience this? Thanks!!

Could it be the fuel tank? it is in the back. If you drive your car slowly and then stop, and if it's quiet, you are probably hearing the fuel in the fuel tank.

cloud7,
that is a possibility but in all the years I have been driving, I have never heard my gas even if the tank is full. Dont you think thats a little weird?

Of the three cars that I have now, Two of them do this if I listen to it carefully. Most of the time I either don't notice it or it is too loud outside that it drowns out this noise. Do you hear/notice the noise all the time when you're driving? If you do, then it is a little weird.

I believe it is more noticeable when im in my quiet neighborhood. As long as its not a defect in my car, I think I can handle it. Also, I heard the noise after topping off my gas.

It's definitely the gas sloshing around. I was really shocked the first time I heard it after filling the tank.

It's definitely the gas in the tank. It was driving me crazy so I took it to the dealership when I first got the car. They said it was the gas & there was nothing they could do about it. So now I just don't fill it up. Lol. No more noise. Lol

Yeah I hear that too when the tank is full. For some reason Honda doesn't realize you're supposed to put baffles in the fuel tank to prevent this.

I feel that Honda/Acura are trying to cut corners. I still have my TL though!

Mr Marco,
Can't handle the bitching as you call it then I would suggest you don't waste time reading my posts. I'm sure you have better things to do.
