Tighten Gas Cap

I am starting to get "Tighten Gas Cap" warnings on my 2009 TL. I am thinking it could be this... Purge Control Solenoid Valve Assembly.

Anyone have and solve this issue recently? I googled and found some videos. It's seems like an easy DIY.

I wouldn't discount the possibility that it actually is your gas cap. Just saying.

When my 2012 was doing this it was the cap itself. Another member on here linked me the TSB. Basically if your cap has a brown gasket then its probably the problem. The new replacement cap will have a black gasket.

I had the brown gasket but replacing the purge solenoid fixed issue. It is better to remove bracket held by hex bolts then to try to just remove the part that is being held by the 2 Phillips screws.
