Keyless issue

acura tl 2012.
all of a sudden requires me to insert keyless remote.
Prior to this, the door button (on the outside) worked. Car would start without putting fob inside.

Now, randomly the outside lock button doesnt work and the the display tells me that the fob must be inserted in order to start.

What happened all of a sudden?

Thanks!

To be honest, I was having the same issues with my 2012 TL, ended up just changing the battery on the fob.
