Been a LONG time since I've been here.

I have an '03 TL-S. I just noticed today that the keyless remote will unlock the doors and open the trunk but will NOT lock the doors.

I checked it with both fobs that came with the car thinking that the one I had been using may have issues. Neither fob will lock the doors. Both fobs will unlock the doors and open the trunk.

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot?

Also, does anyone know where to get a service manual? Doesn't look like Chilton's or Haynes make one.

I'm guessing this means I've also lost the benefits of the onboard security system since I don't see the security light lit after locking the doors by depressing the driver side door lock. There is nothing wrong with the power locks themselves. Locking the driver door locks all of the doors. However, the security light does not light.

Of course, I JUST passed 50K miles and am no longer under warranty. I was going to buy the extended warranty and decided to pocket the $1200 and hope I don't have issues.

Wow, do I feel stupid on this one.

Oh well, shit happens. Amazing that I forgot the KISS priciple on this one considering everything I've done to this car. Well, it's working now. Keep this in mind if someone else ever posts this question. Just tell them to go check out that dumbass bozzchem's thread....
