Did my trans flush today

Okay newbie here and did my trans flush on my 2011 sh awd and I bought 9 quarts for 3/3 flush but ended up doing a 4/2. Couldn't find much info on the 4th gen flush so just went at it and drained 4 both times so is this what other folks got as well? I did carefully measure and got 4 both times and no skid covers to remove as well is this normal too?

If you replaced the exact amount you drained, you're golden. I'd suggest doing it once more.

You may be fine with what just changing it once - depending on the miles on your TL.
I changed my 2010 tl tranny fluid when I owned it at 17k miles just once, it seemed good after.

I can't find in the manual where there is a flush required. Do you know if it needs to be done and how often? Thanks.

I never understood why a tranny cannot be drained completely without a flush. Can someone explain this to me?

There will be old transmission fluid left over in the torque converter when doing a single drain & refill. Better to do a 3x3 drain & fill. Plenty of threads here on AZ regarding this...

That's what I don't understand. Why isn't there a way to drain the torque converter?

Only if you tell them too, you have to be specific. If you just say "service my transmission" they will interpret fluid change and flush and what ever thier rate is. If you tell them just changed the fluid and DONT FLUSH they will give you grief but that is what they will do at a cheaper rate. At least thats how it went at my dealer

A Honda/Acura dealer shouldnt be flushing the transmissions, as Honda specifically recommends not flushing using a machine. A drain/fill or the 3x drain/fill method should really be your only options.
