car has the push to start replaced the starter, battery is only a year old and the terminals are clean what am I missing? Dont think it the button do to as soon as i hit it the dash lights up but wont start/turnnover often. After about 20 times of hitting the button it will finally start?

 

Security system? Are you getting a green flashing key on the dashboard?? When last did you replace the battery in your key fob?

 

Are the non-battery ends of the cables tight?

 

Key fab Battery is good and terminals on battery are clean and tight

 

Couple of other thoughts -
- Run your hand along the length of both battery cables while squeezing them. On the 3G TL there have been instances of internal corrosion of one the cables that is not visible externally.
- Next time you run into the no start situation give the starter a couple of good bangs with a mallet (or something similar) as you may have a solenoid that is dead or dying.
- Can you hear the fuel pump priming when you hit the start button?
- You mention the key fob battery is good - are you seeing the green key on the dashboard?

No it only does it a few times a week and of course i made then post and it hasnt happed
