Start and Stop Button (Won't function)
I'm sure a low key fob battery will show up as a warning, usually before it is completely dead. (Make sure the replacement is a name brand good quality)
The battery under the hood of these things rarely lasts three years for many. Because the whole thing is so electronic,
all hell can break loose with a weak one. The only way to test a battery health is by having a load test done. We had that with dealer service and less than 3 weeks
Later, the battery was dead, so even that is just a snapshot.
If you get in one of these push to start cars and press the start button without your foot on the brake, it will go into acc first and "on" with the second
push. That is what you would do to roll up the windows without starting for instance. Without a key fob (like a dead battery in one) nothing happens.
I think you can start with a dead key fob battery by pressing the fob against start button.
Ifyou have a used Acura you can access a pdf of the owner's manual at:

FWIW I recently had my battery tested by my mechanic, and wanted to see the tester and ask him about it. He told me the tester just measures the internal resistance of the battery. You have to enter the CCA rating into it first. The reading gives an indication of how sulphated the battery has become.
