car won't start

well,
first i experienced it when ,, drove to Toronto from missi. stopped at a store for 15teen minutes. came back tired to start the car and the car wont start. (i m thinking the engine was hot cause i drove for like 45. minutes..so its not because the car was cold)

the radio was on. the lights came up but the car wont start.
so i push the car and jumped in at hit the car into grea and cluth started it.

today i just wanted to see if it would start.. so i tried in the afternoon..it started.

i tried in the evening again and it wont start again. same thing radio and time and all the lights would come up..but wont even hear the ignition try..(just clicking noice)

what could it be....?

a few days ago i left the map light on for 2 day and the batt. died on me...had to call caa and they jumped the batt... the guy also checked the batt and said it was passing enough current...could it be the altanetor...but doesn't make sense cause the start only uses batt?
spark plugs were changed 5-6 months ago/?
PLUS i park underground and never a prob wthe the el even when i parked outside.. dont think its the cold cuse it didnt start after a 45 min drive (when i stopped for 15 minutes)
so why wont the car start..

Make sure you are pushing the clutch all the way in when you are starting it. If that's not the problem then it might be the starter.

he says he gets a clicking noise so the clutch is in......My guess starter. either that or the starter control module.....something with the starter.

Check the starter for sure they go out gradually. By that I mean it will start sometime and not start other times. when it does not start tap the starter with a ratchet or something like that and see if it will start. Anyway thats where I would start checking

anybody have the problem that when you turn the key there is a little dilay. for example i will turn the key to the on position and hold it there and it wont do anything then it will start normally .. just a really really small hesitation..
