the Fan turns on like every 10 sec with AC on. is this normal for this car??

 

I noticed that also - seems like it is always cycling

 

ya.. happens in my car as well... When we are cruising, i did not notice it... but when i am in traffic, i can clearly feel and hear the fan starting and stopping... cycling again and again....

I personally think this fan noise is not acceptable for 40K+ car. and the fact that its soooo freakin LOUD and comes on and off and on and off!!!!! grrrrrr

 

You think that it seems as if it runs hot thus the constant cycling!

 

Im almost positive that every car does this. Especially with the AC on and sitting at idle. Hell, I just drove a Porsche Carrera 4 and it does the same thing. Is it annoying? not really, I would rather have a fan kick on then possibly over heat my car.

There is not enough air being pushed through the radiator when youre sitting at idle to help cool the engine. The fans aid when sitting at idle by pulling air through the radiator...... maybe they should use the Dyson fan..... would that be better?
